Back from vacation yesterday with a cold, feeling tired and fat. Trump got shot at a convention and I’m feeling like unplugging from politics and focusing on some personal goals for the rest of the year.
Currently watching:
- House of Dragons – it’s pretty to look at and they are doing a great job of making the dragons scary and epic.
- The Tour De France – still my favorite summer sporting event. missed most of week 2 during vacation.
- USA Soccer – enjoying the summer international games. looking forward to the olympics
- NBA summer league – light interest in the “wiz kids”, rookie class.
Reading
- Being Mortal , Atul Gawande – about dying and medicine’s failures. Kind of depressing topic but it’s good.
- The Hurting Kind, Ada Limon – Poems. Limon is the current poet laureate. This collection is pretty good. I really liked a few of these.
The family photo is marvelous as usual. My how Jackies girls have grown! We are going to get the Gawande book as it looks mighty interesting. Get well soon!
