Short blog post today. Spent the weekend doing chores and spending a little time outside. I did a round of raking leaves, cleaned my bike chain and gears, replaced the back tire (after literally wearing a hole on the old one last week), watched the Hokies play football, and played a little Baldur’s Gate. It was a nice quiet weekend and I’m trying to enjoy the calm before everything gets hectic with the holiday season ramping up. Take a breath. Let’s go.
Misc.
- Made big update to the Project’s page featuring a big update to my cycling goal and a new illustration project for a zine with Wil Davies.
- TV: Still Enjoying Scavenger’s Reign on HBO (really makes me want to draw) and finished season 4 of “The Sinner” (Netflix) with Danette (it’s fine).
- Reading: mainly catching up on my comics pile (X-Men mostly) and in the middle of a few novels. “Babel” by R.F. Kuang and “The God of Endings” by Jacqueline Holland. “Babel” is a Fantasy novel set in the 1800s in Oxford – where magic is tied to translators. “Endings” is a vampire book focused on immortality.
